Artisans d’Angkor Silk Painting and Weaving
Silk painting classes in Siem Reap are offered by Artisans d’Angkor. Students learn how to mix colours, and how to paint a modern or traditional Cambodian scene. The artisan also teaches painting techniques so students can make their own designs for craft projects.
You can also learn how to weave silk cloth using silk produced at their own silk farm. The class features pre-warped looms, ready for weaving, and individual instruction by a master weaver. Student’s woven pieces can be taken as a souvenir. Lessons are from about US$20 per person and by reservation only. You should contact beforehand for information on availability.
